Barbara was the Chair of Holocaust Learning UK for five years, from 2018 – 2023. During this time, Northwood Holocaust Memorial Day Events adopted its new name of Holocaust Learning UK to reflect its greater, and less local, reach, and the organisation has become incorporated as a company and fully registered charity. She was supported by an enthusiastic and committed team of colleagues, whose contribution has been, and remains, immense.
Barbara is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist by profession, specialising in recruitment, selection and career development, largely within the government and the health sector. She has long been involved in the Holocaust education activities originally established in Northwood. She has been privileged to be part of our initiative in more recent years, with the establishment of our positive and innovative programme of films, which enable students from far and wide to benefit from the experiences of Holocaust Survivors and to understand their relevance in the modern world.
