Shelley has been involved with Holocaust Learning UK, and its predecessor Northwood Holocaust Memorial Day Events, for twelve years. She believes that students benefit from hearing Holocaust Survivors speak about their experiences and learning about the Holocaust to better their understanding of the need to build a tolerant society for all.
Shelley is a screenwriter and teaches screenplay writing. Prior to the pandemic, Shelley worked with the Training Team to develop Workshop Programmes for students and produced the Holocaust Learning UK annual newsletter. Shelley became Executive Producer for Holocaust Learning UK for their suite of films, utilising her skills and experience of screenwriting and understanding of narrative and storytelling in the process.
