Lynda has been a supporter of Holocaust Memorial Day Events, as Holocaust Learning UK was previously known, since the start of the Events over twenty years ago when the school she worked in was one of the first participants in the programme. On retirement she became involved firstly as a facilitator and then as a member of the team writing the workshop material and training facilitators. When in 2020 this was no longer a part of the work of Holocaust Learning UK, Lynda became a member of the Education Committee which is responsible for ensuring that our films are age appropriate and suitable for school viewing.
Lynda’s career was in secondary education with responsibility for pastoral issues. She is involved in interfaith work in the community and leads tours for schoolchildren who visit her synagogue.
Working with young people has led to a determination to ensure that students learn about the Holocaust and other genocides in order to encourage respect and tolerance and to understand the importance of building a better safer future.
