Rabbi Aaron Goldstein is a Senior Rabbi of The Ark Synagogue (formerly Northwood and Pinner Liberal Synagogue – NPLS). The decision to follow his parents’ – Rabbi Dr Andrew and Sharon Goldstein – role as congregational and movement leaders in Liberal Judaism saw Aaron study at Leo Baeck College with a year at Hebrew Union College in New York.
Learning from both colleges complemented his interest in supporting existing and establishing new congregations. His motto is: ‘Count Jews In, Not Out’ and Aaron passionately supports Liberal Judaism’s inclusion policies and he has championed the Equal Marriage campaign for Liberal Judaism.
Following semicha (ordination) in 2002, Aaron became Outreach Director for Liberal Judaism before succeeding (through a fair recruitment process) his father at NPLS.
He has been Chair of Liberal Judaism’s Rabbinic Conference, a Trustee of Liberal Judaism and Leo Baeck College, as well as having been a school trustee and on the Board of a number of small charities.
