Vera was aged 10-years-old when she came to live with her English guardians, having come on the Kindertransport from Czechoslovakia, describes how her father spoke to her guardians on the telephone. They discussed allowing Vera to go to church, but the promised not to try and change Vera’s religion. Vera was crying too much to speak to him.
